    Description

This is an Original WW1 WWi Imperial German M16 Stalnhelm Helmet With stirnpanzer lugs.  This helmet was used in ww1 by Germany, you can tell since the Austro-Hungarian ones has the bottom rivet higher.  This helmet was likely an m16, just because they were the most common, but the shells for the m16, m17, and m18 are all exactly the same so there's no way to tell, the difference is in the liner, which is missing.  This helmet has some pitting, but has no holes in the shell, except the ones that are supposed to be there for the liner.  There are no cracks, holes, or any deformations in the shell, its in good condition.  The shell has no original paint left, but there is likewise no active rust on the helmet, the helmet has turned rust colored though.  The helmet is a large size, you can tell by the lugs on the side.  The lugs on the side are to hold an armor plate, though they were very rare, one particularly cool thing about this specifc helmet is that i suspect it held a stirnpanzer once, the front armor plate, as you can see the outer layer has been scratched away on the lugs, revealing the shiny steal underneath.  the helmet is in overall quit good condition and is a really nice collector piece.
