    Very Rare 2 Page WWI German Death Card, Rare Photo w/RIFLE, FIXED BAYONET, GREAT COVERED SPIKE HELMET, & ALL EQUIPMENT and ALSO RARE HOLDING BINOCULARS
    DESCRIPTION:
    Nice 2 page, FULL LENGTH WWI German death card for a soldier in a great photo SHOWING rifle, fixed bayonet, covered spike helmet, & all accouterments. ALSO HOLDING BINOCULARS WHICH IS HARDLY EVER SEEN:
    Specifically, "the honorable youth Johann Bornschlegl, soldier in the 11th Bavarian Reserve Inf. Regt, 5th Company, who heroically died for the Fatherland by an artillery shot in Siebenburgen on Feb. 19, 1917, aged 33."
    GREAT FULL PAGE OUTDOOR PHOTO of this young man wearing uniform, boots, covered spike helmet, rifle/fixed bayonet, and ALL equipment & accouterments. ALSO HOLDING A PAIR OF BINOCULARS, which is interesting and quite rare!!! On the reverse is also a very nice patriotic/military battlefield depiction.
    Extremely difficult to find WWI soldier death cards anymore, but I am selling part of my collection and have a few nice ones to offer.
    Very nice looking card, in excellent condition.
    Original card, more than 100 years old, and a nice face and story to a very young soldier who otherwise would be a forgotten statistic.
