Ronson Touch Tip Lighter Deco Chrome Cigarette Dispenser

First manufactured in 1936, this black and chrome dispenser absolutely screams “Machine Age Deco”. The design is exceptional and perfectly accents any deco room where it is displayed.
The cigarette delivery mechanism works as it should.
The Touch Tip lighter mechanism throws a spark every time, but the intensity is such that it lights the wand only once in a blue Moon after numerous tries.
The dispenser has some scratches and corrosion that I have tried to show in my photographs.
The lid that covers the cigarette compartment has numerous small scratches when viewed with a grazing light, but these are generally not very noticeable when viewed under normal circumstances.
On the top of the lighter wand, the chrome has peeled off.
This evidently happened long ago as the underlying brass has tarnished to the point where it is almost red.
I believe the over all appearance would be improved if the top of the wand were polished with a metal polish to the point where the brass is bright and shiny.
The other items displayed in my next to last photograph are just window dressing used to show the significance of this dispenser.
