Vintage Ceylon Carved Ebony Wood Jeweled Silver Saddle Kandy Elephant

Description

These were hand made in Ceylon circa 1900-1940.
It is  carved wood with a silver metal saddle .
The saddle may be sterling, plate or nickel.
It measures 7" tall, 7 1/4" long and approximately  3" wide.
This is fragile so the  cage on top of the saddle has wires that are bent slightly.
These are particular to Ceylon but have a similar look to the Elephants of Hannibal
