Plane shows a little wear on the paint on the hold-down plate; the bottom surface is smooth, blade does not exhibit dings on cutting edge (see Pictures). Marking on blade: "Sargent No 217 New Haven CT USA". Marking on inside of 'hold-down plate': "306 307". Marking on plane body: "Made in USA". Blade adjustment knob and hold-down plate knob work as required.
